WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE EVENT?

The purpose of the International Metadesign Congress is to contribute to establishing Metadesign as an internationally recognized approach to creative, social and political action, presenting and discussing its origins, theoretical framework, applications, success stories, challenges and transdisciplinary developments.

Metadesign has been used for high-profile and large-scale projects, such as the National Digital Government Strategy, the Brazilian Charter of Smart Cities, the Sustainable Development Goals, Selic Knowledge Management, Anbima Sustainability Network, among others.

ABOUT THE FULL PROGRAM

The event's schedule includes four panels and activities throughout the day, as well as an "extended calendar" that begins immediately after the event and runs until June 2025, when we will have the Congress Recap and its extended activities, as well as future developments.

Panel 1 - Morning - 9am (Brasília time)

Fundamentals

Understanding Metadesign as an academically rigorous discipline with broad-spectrum applicability in society, academia, government, arts, technology, politics, economics and the market. It deals with the origin, history, concepts, methods, uses and applications of Metadesign, and has national and international references.

Panel 2 - Morning - 11am (Brasília time)

APPLICATIONS

Experiences guided by Metadesign in three sectors: market innovation, participatory construction of public policies and transformation of practices in education. It will explore applications of Metadesign in corporate initiatives, public policies and education, featuring professionals who used techniques from the discipline to develop their projects in highly relevant and prominent contexts.

COLLABORATIVE ACTIVITIES

Activity 1 - 2pm (Brasília time)

Metagame - Transforming Worlds

The first activity involves the integration of the international Metadesign community through the facilitation of the co-creation of a complex, live artifact involving all participants of the Congress.

Activity 2 - 3:30pm (Brasília time)

COLLABORATIVE CONSTRUCTION OF THE EXTENDED CALENDAR

The second activity will be the collaborative construction of the extended calendar, based on the talents, skills, professional capabilities, institutional affiliations and networks of each participant – an opportunity to propose collaborative activities involving people from a rich, diverse, complex and international network.

LAUNCH MILESTONE

The Congress will also be the launch of the International Metadesign Association, with the objective of creating a national and international institutional representation of Metadesign practitioners and enthusiasts, offering a robust reference for society regarding its concepts, methods, applications, certification and advice to other associations, companies and public bodies regarding Metadesign, in Brazil and worldwide.

There will be simultaneous translation between English and Portuguese.
